These have to do more with the compilation of time in an abstraction of medium.
These are some of the sound pieces I have been working on for stand alone or in accompaniment to installations. Sound has the ability to be evocative of time, space, and memory. Within a place of distraction it can provide a soothing or irritating environment. Sometimes within my work it is the unnoticed layer that soothes the viewer into my installations, which provide a visual ADD of advertisement like colors and flashes. Sound is now an integral part of our everyday lives, it used to be joked about amongst friends the idea of a soundtrack of our lives, but today we are creating that sound track every time we upload a new sound on to our I-Pods… There will always be sound as long as there is an ear.
